Role of Mentor in the start-up journey

 Introduction- 

A mentor is a trusted one who guides you in your start-up journey, the mentor can counsel you wherever required, and he is the key person for the start-up or business journey, any senior person, trainer, professor, or teacher, who is working in your area, entrepreneur, or consultant can be your mentor.

Mentors can give insights about your idea, they can share the already available research and facts about it, which will save your time and effort in the assessment and evaluation of the idea.

They should also help the startup owners in developing a roadmap for customer complaint management and quick response policy etc.

Mentors are good counselors hence they have to play this role also like motivating the startups in their critical times, if they feel underestimated due to any reason, they should aware the startups about the good time they will get by keeping little patience. Mentors are full of networking skills so they should teach the startups how to develop contacts, what are the ways methods of developing the contacts and inform them about the dos and don’ts to be followed while developing the networks. They must share the importance of networking and how it can help them to open other opportunities.
